International Association for Human Values (IAHV) Braille Textbooks Donation
The International Association for Human Values (IAHV) in collaboration with The Art of Living donated Braille Textbooks for Class X students of Jyoti Sroat School, as a part of their IAHV Read library initiative to promote reading as a habit for children and encourage them to widen their knowledge, skills and imagination through accessing a range of books.
The occasion was auspiciously graced by Sr. Rosario Lopez, the founder, and philosopher of Bethany Society, Meghalaya, India. The short function was marked by cultural performances by students of Jyoti Sroat School, and culminated with the plantation of a sapling, as a testament to our commitment to promoting stewardship towards the earth.
We express our sincere gratitude to IAHV for their generous and enabling support to the cause of children of Jyoti Sroat School, Bethany Society and to the cause of education at large. Special thanks to Ms. Anita Swer (Parent of a student from Jyoti Sroat School) who as a volunteer with IAHV, first introduced the school to the organization, which eventually resulted in this support and partnership.
