What We Do

As of date, the school has received an Opening Permission from the Department of Education, Government of Meghalaya. All students, thus, appear for SSLC examinations as private candidates from a recognized Centre. Candidates with special needs avail of privileges and relaxation granted by the Board.

All component subjects and activities prescribed in the MBOSE syllabus plus curriculum for the secondary level are handled by a staff appropriately trained and well experienced in a special or integrated setup like wise.

  • Staff of Jyoti Sroat train SSA teachers for Inclusive Education through a Foundation Course and Special B.Ed.

Staff
The above programmes are run by a team of 29. It includes teachers, instructors, experts, ayahs and office assistants trained in their own fields. All very competent and committed to their work. Their invaluable contribution apart from other reasons is also motivated by love to serve the children and the cause of Bethany Society.

All staff members, volunteers or any persons directly involved with children are required to sign a Child Protection Code of Conduct.

Science Laboratory

are being gradually equipped for meeting the needs of every category of students.
The Techno Vision Centre offers computer classes including for the visually impaired and produces Braille Material for School and other purposes (on payment for the latter). Internet facilities.

The Vocational Training wing of the school will offer introductory vocational training in preparation for professional training in trades of relevance and interest. A basic academic programme will be taught along side. The whole programme is for:
The benefit of children with disabilities who are too late for schooling or too early for vocation rehabilitation in age.

For any child whose mental caliber is not suitable for a normal academic programme.
Hostel facilities are available only for children with disabilities from outside the city, in case of vacancy.

The Bethany School Bus service is available on extra payment.
Outdoor and indoor games, co-curricular activities, community programmes, etc.
