Jyoti Sroat School For the Life With Dignity

  1. Expansion of production of materials in Braille.
  2. NIVH Project – Strengthening of Services for Blind Persons in North East.
  3. Membership to Daisy Forum of India (DFI).
  4. NEC Project – IT School Education Programme in the North Eastern Region.
  5. Implimentation of Media Lab Asia, Govt. of India project titled ‘Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Computerized Braille Transcription System at the Blind Schools throughout the country’ through Webel Mediatronics Limited, Partnerships started on April 2010.
  6. Expansion Program: Inclusive classes for Arts and Fine Arts. This classes are held during out of School hours on Saturdays and Holidays.  They are specially meant for children with Special Needs having the gift and interest in the above areas. Eventually there classes will be accessable to other children with Special Needs or economically poor background but who may have the potential of developing a career out of them. The chief instructor is Banshemphang Lanong, Completed Master of Fine Arts (MFA), Sculpture Department, Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan, 2009, Awardee of Young Talent Artist’s and Merit Scholarship Award. The chief instructor is aided by three of the School staff members.
